HAWAII SAFE TRAVELS PROGRAM
International passengers entering the U.S. from another state or territory will be treated as domestic travelers when entering the State of Hawai‘i. Unvaccinated passengers may use a Trusted Testing Partner for non-direct, international travel. The individual will be responsible to follow the pre-travel guidelines including the test is taken no more than 72 hours BEFORE boarding the final leg of their trip to Hawai‘i and the result must be uploaded prior to departure.
Passengers connecting through the US on an Air Canada ticket with a valid COVID test will be exempt of quarantine if the date of travel is as of December 17 (example: Calgary -San Francisco on Air Canada, San Francisco-Honolulu on United through the code share program).
Passengers should enquire/validate with their testing entity the Hawaii required testing documentation. This is to ensure that the passengers obtain the required Hawaii form upon having completed the COVID test.
Customers are fully responsible for understanding the requirements of their destination country as well as the airline they are flying with, and for choosing an appropriate collection date and time. Customers must ensure to specify the destination country when booking their appointment in order to ensure they receive any approved/required documentation for their destination.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
We recommend booking as far in advance as is possible. There is increasing demand for testing. Booking in advance will increase the likelihood that we will be able to accomodate your travel schedule.
You will need to get a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight.
